For # 20 crochet thread: 8.7" x 7.7"

How to read the scheme:
Read the scheme from bottom to top.
Read odd rows from right to left, even rows from left to right.

Abbreviations:
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
dc
- double crochet
picot - sc in third chain from hook
* - repeat the following instructions as many times as indicated

Notes: You can use this pattern as a fragment for the tablecloth (or curtain). Just repeat the pattern from point A to point B in length and from point C to point D in width. The length of starting chain calculate with this formula: amount of meshes multiply by 3 plus six, start in eighth chain from hook, proceed as usual.

Pattern:

open mesh- open mesh (dc, ch2).
filled mesh- filled mesh (3dc).

Start each row with ch5, turn - counts as first open mesh, dc in second dc.
Finish each row with additional dc in third chain of ch5 below.

Row 1: Ch113, dc in eight chain from hook, *ch2, skip two, dc in third chain, repeat from * 34 times, totally 35 open meshes.
Row 2: Ch5, turn, dc in second dc, 99dc, ch2, dc in fifth chain of ch7 below.
Row 3: Ch5, turn, dc in second dc, 3dc, *ch2, dc, repeat from * 31 times, 3dc, ch2, dc in third chain of ch5.
Row 4: Ch5, turn, dc in second dc, 3dc, *ch2, dc, repeat from * 9 times, 3dc, *ch2, dc, repeat from * 11 times, 3dc, *ch2, dc, repeat from * 9 times, 3dc, ch2, dc in third chain of ch5.

Continue following scheme as established.

Border:

Round 1: Starting with first corner mesh work sc around entire model: 2sc in starting mesh, 2sc in side meshes, 5sc in three corner meshes. Finish with 3sc in starting mesh.
Round 2: Sc in first sc of previous round, *ch3, picot, ch1, skip two sc, sc in third sc, repeat from * around entire model, finish with sc in remaining sc.

Fasten off.

Finishing: Wash, stretch and pin to shape. Allow to dry thoroughly, then iron slightly.
