Read odd rows from right to left, even rows from left to right.

Notes:
You can achieve the necessary width of valance by repeating the pattern from point A to point B.

Pattern:

open mesh- open mesh (dc, ch2).
filled mesh- filled mesh (3dc).

Checkmark mesh:
first row - dc, ch3, skip two dc, sc in third dc, ch3, skip two dc, dc in third dc
second row - dc, ch5, skip sc, dc in dc.

Start each row (where increasing is not required) with ch3 (counts as first dc), turn, dc in next two dc or tr.
Finish each row with additional dc in third chain of ch3 below or in specified stitch where decreasing is required.

To increase at beginning of row on 1 filled mesh: Ch6, turn, dc in fourth chain from hook, dc in fifth chain, dc in last dc of previous row.
To increase at beginning of row on 2 filled meshes: Ch9, turn, dc in fourth chain from hook, dc in all next chains, dc in last dc of previous row.
To increase at end of row on 1 filled mesh: Tr in same place as last dc of row, tr in base of previous tr, tr in base of previous tr.
To increase at end of row on 2 filled meshes: Tr in same place as last dc of row, *tr in base of previous tr, repeat from * 5 times.

To decrease at beginning of row on 1 filled mesh: Work sl st in second, third and fourth dc of previous row. Start with ch3, dc in next dc or in space of ch5.
To decrease at beginning of row on 2 filled meshes: Work sl st in second dc, sl st in each of next five dc of previous row. Start with ch3, dc in next dc.
To decrease at end of row on 1 filled mesh: Leave last three dc unworked.
To decrease at end of row on 2 filled meshes: Leave last six dc unworked.
